ANTONGEORGI POSTS RIDING TRIPLE AT GOLDEN GATE FIELDS

ALBANY, CALIF. – Jockey Billy Antongeorgi won three races on Thursday as the Summer Meet resumed at Golden Gate Fields. 
 
Antongeorgi guided Love to Chatter ($22.20) to an upset victory in race 4, easily won aboard Shot in the Sun ($11.60) in race 5, and guided Of Thee I Sing ($5.80) to a previously elusive maiden score in race 6. The all-Antongeorgi Pick 3 returned $395.90 for a $1 bet.
 

GOLDEN GATE SUMMER MEET RESUMES THURSDAY

ALBANY, CALIF. – The Golden Gate Fields Summer Meet will resume Thursday with a seven-race card and a first-race post time of 1:15 p.m.
 
The first half of the Summer Meet began Aug. 21 and ended Sept. 7. Thursday will mark the start of the second half, with Oct. 4 serving as closing day. 
 
Through the end of the meet, post time will be 1:15 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and 12:45 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. 
 

GOLDEN GATE FIELDS ANNOUNCES FALL STAKES SCHEDULE

ALBANY, CALIF. – The 2015 Golden Gate Fields Fall Meet will include seven stakes races, including four stakes for 2-year-olds.

ALERT BAY BESTS G. G. RYDER TO WIN ROLLING GREEN

ALBANY, CALIF. – Alert Bay tracked G. G. Ryder and put away that rival at the top of the stretch to register a 2 ¼-length victory in the $63,605 Rolling Green for 3-year-olds and up on Monday at Golden Gate Fields.

ALERT BAY FACES HOLLENDORFER PAIR IN MONDAY’S ROLLING GREEN

ALBANY, CALIF. – Alert Bay, winner of the Grade 2 Mathis Brothers Mile and California Cup Turf Classic during the winter, will return to the turf on Monday in the $50,000 Rolling Green at Golden Gate Fields.
 
The Rolling Green, a 1 1/16-mile race for 3-year-olds and up, attracted a field of six, including G. G. Ryder and Outside Nashville, an imposing pair from the barn of Hall of Fame trainer Jerry Hollendorfer.
 

BAZE WINS AT GOLDEN GATE FOLLOWING TRIP TO JAPAN

ALBANY, CALIF. – Hall of Fame jockey Russell Baze made a winning return to the Bay Area, posting a victory aboard Gem of a Gal ($5.40) in race 6 on Thursday at Golden Gate Fields.  
 
Thursday was Baze’s first day back at Golden Gate since participating in the World All-Star Jockeys competition at Sapporo Racecourse in Japan. He rode in four races at Sapporo, finishing 12th and 13th on Saturday and sixth and fourth on Sunday. 
 

GOLDEN GATE FIELDS TO OFFER SPECIAL LABOR DAY RACING

ALBANY, CALIF. – Golden Gate Fields will conduct a special Labor Day racing card on Monday, Sept. 7.
 
The Labor Day card will be highlighted by the $50,000 Rolling Green, a 1 1/16-mile turf stakes for 3-year-olds and up. The field is expected to include 2015 Joseph T. Grace victor Outside Nashville and graded stakes winners Alert Bay, Big Bane Theory, G. G. Ryder, and Pepper Crown.
 
Post time for the first race on Labor Day will be 1:45 p.m.
 

ALVARADO, FREY POST DOUBLES ON SUNDAY AT GOLDEN GATE FIELDS

ALBANY, CALIF. – Jockeys Frank Alvarado and Kyle Frey paced all jockeys with two wins apiece on Sunday Golden Gate Fields.
 
Alvarado won race 5 with You Sleep on That ($4.60) and race 7 with Beautiful Dreamer ($9.00), while Frey posted scores in race 2 with Kuuipo ($6.80) and race 4 with Grand Sunset ($9.40).
