Five Day Racing Week Begins With Carryover Of $40,884 In Pick Six

     A five-day racing week at Golden Gate Fields begins Thursday with a carryover of $40,884 in the Pick Six and continues through Monday, Veteran’s Day.  Post time is 12:45 p.m. each day.
     The Pick Six is a $2 wager that requires handicappers to pick the winner’s of six consecutive designated races.  At Golden Gate Fields, the bet is held on the final six races each day and thus will be conducted on races two through seven Thursday.  Post time for the second race is 1:15 p.m.

Pleasanton’s Bonde Sees She’s A Tiger Disqualified From Breeders’ Cup Win

     Trainer Jeff Bonde of Pleasanton thought he had earned his first Breeders’ Cup victory Saturday when his speedy filly She’s a Tiger crossed the wire a nose in front of Ria Antonia in the $2 million Juvenile Fillies at Santa Anita.  The victory celebration was short-lived, however. 
     The stewards put up the inquiry sign soon after the race, and after a lengthy review, disqualified She’s a Tiger for bumping Ria Antonia in deep stretch and placed her second.

Baze Returns From Suspension With Vengeance – Wins Four Races

     Hall of Fame jockey Russell Baze, riding for first time following a five-day suspension, won four races Friday at Golden Gate Fields.
     Baze scored with his first mount back, Song of the Times ($5.20), who won the first race by three-quarters of a length.  Baze later won the fourth race with Lota Spunk ($3.80), the sixth with Dancer Humor ($8.40), and the seventh with Dancing Yodeler ($4.20).

First Bet Is On The House Friday And Saturday At Golden Gate Fields

Fans attending Golden Gate Fields for the simulcast of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships Friday and Saturday will get their first bet on the house.
     Golden Gate Fields, which will present live racing cards in addition to simulcasting the Breeders’ Cup programs from Santa Anita, will give patrons a cash voucher both Friday and Saturday. 

Golden Gate Fields Schedules Early Post Times To Facilitate Breeders’ Cup Simulcasts

     Golden Gate Fields has scheduled early post times Friday and Saturday to facilitate the simulcast of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships from Santa Anita.
     Golden Gate Fields will present a nine-race card Friday and post time is 12:05 p.m.   First post at Santa Anita is 10:40 a.m.  Post time for the first Breeders’ Cup race, the $500,000 Marathon, is 1:45 p.m. 

Kitty Marie Impressive In Sprint Victory

Kitty Marie, the 4-5 favorite, made her short price look like a gift when she rambled to a three-length victory in the $37,283 sprint feature at Golden Gate Fields Sunday.
     Kitty Marie surged to the lead entering the stretch and responded to steady urging from jockey Leslie Mawing to maintain a daylight advantage to the wire.  Power of Ten took second by a head over Dream of Daisy.

Miss Machiavelli Triumphs In Pike Place Dancer Stakes

She spotted her rivals a head start and raced greenly in the stretch but even-money favorite Miss Machiavelli still got the job done in the $100,000 Pike Place Dancer Stakes at Golden Gate Fields Saturday.
     Ridden by Dennis Carr, Miss Machiavelli rallied from last in a field of six to win the one-mile turf race for 2-year-old fillies by a half-length over game 11-1 shot Alasharchy in 1:39.42.  Pleasant Miss finished third, 2 1/2 lengths behind Alasharchy.

Miss Machiavelli Favored In $100,000 Pike Place Dancer Stakes

     Miss Machiavelli, who had an eventful trip while running third in the Surfer Girl Stakes at Santa Anita, is the 9-5 morning line favorite in Saturday’s $100,000 Pike Place Dancer Stakes at Golden Gate Fields.
     The Pike Place Dancer is a one-mile turf race for 2-year-old fillies.  Miss Machiavelli will break from post position one and be ridden by Dennis Carr.

Look Quickly Stays Perfect With Feature Race Win

     The precocious filly Look Quickly kept her record perfect Thursday by scoring an authoritative victory in the $35,786 feature race at Golden Gate Fields.
     Look Quickly improved to 3-for-3 when she charged from off the pace to win the six-furlong allowance dash for 2-year-olds by five lengths over Southern California shipper Karma King, the 2-5 favorite.  El Sacrificio finished third, 6 1/2 lengths behind Karma King.

Carryovers Galore At Golden Gate Fields

The racing week at Golden Gate Fields gets underway Thursday with a seven-race program that is loaded with carryovers in the Pick 5, Super High Five, and Pick 6.  Post time is 12:45 p.m.
     There is a $19,759 carryover in the Pick 5, a 50-cent bet that requires handicappers to pick the winners of the final five races on the card.  The Pick 5 will be held on races three through seven and post time for the third race is 1:45 p.m.
