ALBANY, CALIF. – Emotional Kitten heads a full field of 12 fillies and mares entered in the $50,000 Miss America, the featured race on Sunday, closing day for the Golden Gate Fields fall meet.
 

GOLDEN GATE TO PRESENT PICK 5 WITH $35K CARRYOVER FRIDAY

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2015 
 
ALBANY, CALIF. – A Pick 5 carryover of $35,028.97 tops a list of three carryovers going into Friday’s card at Golden Gate Fields.
 
The Pick 5 will span races 1-5. Post time for the opener is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. The Pick 5 features a low 15 percent takeout.
 
There also are carryovers of $5,288.82 in the Super High 5 and $1,796.96 in the Golden Pick 6. 
 

TRIBAL DUDE WINS SUNDAY FEATURE IN FOUR-WAY PHOTO

ALBANY, CALIF. – Tribal Dude handled a rise in class with aplomb, narrowly prevailing in a thrilling four-way photo finish in the $34,863 entry-level allowance feature Sunday at Golden Gate Fields.
 

EL CAMINO REAL DERBY TOPS WINTER/SPRING STAKES SCHEDULE

ALBANY, CALIF. – The 35th running of the Grade 3, $200,000 El Camino Real Derby heads a list of 12 stakes worth $1.025 million that will be conducted during Golden Gate Fields’ 2015-16 Winter/Spring Meet.
 
The 1 1/8-mile El Camino Real Derby, Northern California’s premier prep race for the Triple Crown series, is scheduled for February 13. Its list of previous winners includes luminaries such as Tank’s Prospect, Snow Chief, Ruhlman, Sea Cadet, Casual Lies, Tabasco Cat, Cavonnier, and Event of the Year. 

‘MANA’ STRIKES AT 10-1 IN GOLD RUSH

ALBANY, CALIF. – Mana Strike employed a strong turn of foot to spring a 10-1 upset in the $75,105 Gold Rush for 2-year-olds on Saturday at Golden Gate Fields.
 

GOLDEN PICK 6 CARRYOVER GROWS TO $33K

ALBANY, CALIF. – The Golden Pick 6 carryover now stands at $33,838.51 going into the final six race days for the Golden Gate Fields Fall Meet.
 
After the wager was hit for $149,231.76 on Nov. 21, the carryover has steadily grown over the past seven race days. It took 10 days for the carryover to exceed $30,000 ($32,863 following the Nov. 6 card) at the start of the meet.
 

CHAMPION SHARED BELIEF SUCCUMBS TO COLIC

ALBANY, CALIF. – Shared Belief, the 2013 Champion Two-Year-Old Male who was stabled at Golden Gate Fields, died Thursday, according to a report on the Jungle Racing Facebook page. 
 

HEAVY FAVORITE ALLABOUTACTION STRETCHES OUT IN GOLD RUSH

ALBANY, CALIF. – Allaboutaction, a nine-length winner in his lone start, heads a field of six 2-year-olds entered in Saturday’s $75,000 Gold Rush at Golden Gate Fields.
 
The one-mile Gold Rush was carded as the fifth race on the nine-race card and has a scheduled post time of 2:45 p.m.
 

POSHSKY GETS UP LATE IN G3 BERKELEY HANDICAP

ALBANY, CALIF. – Despite scratching the morning-line favorite from the race, trainer Peter Miller was victorious in the Grade 3, $100,000 Berkeley Handicap as Poshsky rallied past Pepper Crown to capture the 1 1/16-mile race Sunday at Golden Gate Fields. 
 

CODE WARRIOR PREVAILS AGAIN IN GOLDEN GATE DEBUTANTE

ALBANY, CALIF. – Code Warrior won her second stakes in the month of November and remained unbeaten in three starts by posting a 1 ¾-length victory over Cousin Claire in the $50,405 Golden Gate Debutante for 2-year-old fillies on Saturday at Golden Gate Fields.
