Simulcast of Day 1 of Breeders’ Cup Will Highlight Friday Card at GGF

     Golden Gate Fields has scheduled a 12:40 p.m. post time for its special  Friday racing program that will feature eight local events and the simulcast of day one of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships from Churchill Downs in Louisville.

     Grandstand and club house gates open at 10 a.m. and post time for the first race at Churchill Downs is 11 a.m.  The first Breeders’ Cup race, the $500,000 Marathon, will be run at 1:10 p.m.

     The post times for the other Breeders’ Cup races are as follows: $1 million Juvenile Fillies Turf, 1:50 p.m.; $1 million Filly and Mare Sprint, 2:30 p.m.; $2 million Juvenile Fillies, 3:10 p.m.; $2 million Filly and Mare Turf, 3:50 p.m.; and the $2 million Ladies Classic, 4:30 p.m.  

     Hollendorfer To Scratch Indian Gracey  --  Jerry Hollendorfer told the media at Churchill Downs Thursday that he is going to scratch his 2-year-old filly  Indian Gracey from the Juvenile Fillies due to a sore right front foot.

     Hollendorfer still has his top gun in the Breeders’ Cup, however, as his outstanding
3-year-old filly Blind Luck is ready to roll in the Ladies Classic.
   
     Hess Saddles Back-To-Back Winners --  Veteran trainer Bob Hess won back-to-back races Thursday at Golden Gate Fields, taking the sixth with Sheekey ($6.00) and the seventh De Car Guy ($4.60).
