Sherman Extends Winning Streak At Golden Gate Fields

     Trainer Steve Sherman extended his winning streak and jockey Kevin Krigger rode three winners Thursday at Golden Gate Fields.

     Sherman, who went 4-for-4 last Sunday, made it six wins in a row at Golden Gate Fields by going 2-for-2 Thursday.  Sherman scored his St. Patrick’s Day double with Glad’s a Smilin ($4.60) in the sixth race and Luberon ($4.20) in the eighth.

     Krigger rode both of Sherman’s winners and also captured the fifth race with the Clifford Delima-trained Mississippi Gold ($5.00).

     Jockey Aaron Gryder celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with a riding double.  Gryder won the second race with Five Star Cruise ($5.60) and the fourth with Tudor Blue ($3.60).

     Racing continues at Golden Gate Fields Friday.  Post time is 12:45 p.m.
