Lord Vronsky Extends Winning Streak To Five Races

Lord Vronsky recorded his fifth straight victory Friday at Golden Gate Fields when he charged from off the pace to win the 5 1/2-furlong fourth race by 2 1/4 lengths over 6-5 favorite Bwana Be Gone.
The win capped a fine 2012 campaign for Lord Vronsky, who amassed five wins, two seconds and a third in eight starts on the year.  Lord Vronsky has inched up the class ladder during his winning streak as he has won for claiming tags of $4,000, $5,000, $8,000 (twice), and $10,000.

Trained by Steve Sherman and ridden by Catalino Martinez, Lord Vronsky won Friday’s sprint in 1:03.32 and paid $6.20 as the 2-1 second choice in the betting.  Lord Vronsky was not claimed out of the $10,000 claiming event and thus remains the property of co-owners Malley’s Racing Stable and Tommy Hutton’s Dream Stable.
