Lady of Fifty Returns To Races Saturday

California Oaks winner Lady of Fifty will make her return to the races Saturday at Golden Gate Fields when she faces six opponents in the $34,000 allowance feature.

Lady of Fifty won three straight stakes at Golden Gate Fields last winter, a hat trick that was completed with her 3 1/2-length victory in the $100,000 California Oaks on
Jan. 21.

Lady of Fifty hasn’t raced since March 10, when she finished last in the China Doll Stakes at Santa Anita.  Trained by Jerry Hollendorfer, Lady of Fifty has recorded six workouts in preparation for her comeback start.

The featured eighth race is a six-furlong sprint for fillies and mares and Lady of Fifty will break from post position two under jockey Julien Couton.  Owned in partnership by Hollendorfer and George Todaro, Lady of Fifty has four wins and a third in seven career starts and $154,170 in earnings.

The field for the main event, in post position order with riders, weights and morning-line odds, is as follows: Advance Ticket, Eric Camacho, 117, 3-1; Lady of Fifty, Couton, 114, 7-2; Bleach Blonde, Alejandro Gomez, 117, 10-1; Hennessy River, Irving Orozco, 105, 15-1; Greatest Escape, Diego Sanchez, 117, 8-1; English Royal, Russell Baze, 117, 8-5; and Special Holiday, Frank Alvarado, 117, 6-1.
