Jockey Gryder Scores With Trio Of Front-Runners At GGF

Jockey Aaron Gryder won three races Sunday at Golden Gate Fields and didn’t pass a single horse in recording his riding triple.

Gryder won the six-furlong second race with even-money favorite Bell Zone ($4.20), who sped to the lead out of the gate and then just held off 20-to-1 closer One Sharp Mensch to score by a head.

Gryder posted an easy victory in the seventh race, a 1 1/16-mile turf event, aboard
3-to-2 favorite Triple Action ($5.00), who controlled the pace from the start and then ran away from his rivals down the stretch for an 11-length triumph.

Gryder came right back to win the six-furlong eighth race with 10-to-1 long shot Five Star Cruise ($23.40), who scored in the same fashion as Bell Zone, taking command at the start and then holding on to win by a head over Lil Angelina.

Live racing will resume at Golden Gate Fields Thursday.  Post time is 12:45 p.m.

Golden Gate Fields will be open for simulcast wagering Wednesday.  The simulcast schedule features action from Tampa Bay (first simulcast race at 10:45 a.m.), Aqueduct (11:03 a.m.), Keeneland (11:05 a.m.), Hawthorne (11:30 a.m.), and Oaklawn Park
