Hudson Landing Wins Second Straight For Trainer Wright

Hudson Landing, recording his second consecutive victory since being claimed by trainer Blaine Wright, took the $33,280 allowance feature at Golden Gate Fields Saturday by 1 1/4 lengths over Photo Shopped.

Wright claimed Hudson Landing for client Chappell Alpine Farms for $50,000 on
Feb. 25 at Golden Gate Fields.  Hudson Landing has earned $39,000 in his two races for Wright as he made $19,500 when he won a 1 1/16-mile allowance race on March 17 and banked another $19,500 for his victory in Saturday’s one-mile allowance test

Hudson Landing completed his mile in 1:38.14 and returned $12.00 as the third betting choice in a field of eight.  A 5-year-old gelding by Maria’s Mon, Hudson Landing has nine victories in 28 career starts and $275,688 in earnings.

The 3-year-old colt Nonios, the 6-to-5 favorite who went into the race undefeated in two starts, finished third while facing older rivals.  Nonios raced in traffic on the far turn and finished well through the final sixteenth of a mile.
