Hallelujah Trail Improves To 7-for-8 At Golden Gate Fields

     The 5-year-old mare Hallelujah Trial loves Golden Gate Fields.

     Hallelujah Trail, trained by Blaine Wright, improved to 7-for-8 at the East Bay racetrack when she ran away to 3 1/4-length victory in Sunday’s $36,174 sprint feature.
Logical Single took second by three lengths over Broken Silence.

     Hallelujah Trail won the six-furlong contest for fillies and mares in 1:09.89 and paid $5.00 as the 3-to-2 favorite in a field of seven.  Owned by John Maryanski, Hallelujah Trail earned $19,800 and the payday increased her earnings to $181,750.  

     Hallelujah Trail was ridden by Juan Hernandez, who had a hat trick Sunday.  Hernandez also won the third race with Shadarockem ($22.00) and the sixth with Saxman ($6.60).

      Live racing will resume at Golden Gate Fields Thursday.  Post time is 12:45 p.m.

      Golden Gate Fields will be open Wednesday for a simulcast wagering program that will feature action from Tampa Bay Downs (post time is 10:45 a.m. for the first simulcast), Gulfstream Park (10:58 a.m.), Laurel (11 a.m.), Aqueduct (11:03 a.m.), Hawthorne (11:30 a.m.), and Portland Meadows (12:40 p.m.).  Simulcast wagering will be offered in the Club House, which opens at 10 a.m.
