GGF Cards Will Be Bolstered By Breeders’ Cup Simulcasts

     The live racing programs at Golden Gate Fields on Friday and Saturday will be bolstered by the simulcast of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships from Churchill Downs in Louisville.

     With a Pick6 Carryover of $22,370 rolling into Friday, Golden Gate Fields will host an eight-race card and post time is 12:35 p.m., 10 minutes earlier than normal.  Grandstand and Club House gates open at 10 a.m. and the track will simulcast all 10 races from Churchill Downs, where first post is 11 a.m.  

      Post time for the first Breeders’ Cup race, the $500,000 Juvenile Sprint, is 1:10 p.m.  The Juvenile Sprint will be followed by the $1 million Juvenile Fillies Turf at 1:50 p.m., the $1 million Filly and Mare Sprint at 2:30 p.m., the $2 million Juvenile Fillies at       3:10 p.m., the $2 million Filly and Mare Turf at 3:50 p.m., and the $2 million Ladies’ Classic at 4:30 p.m.

     Golden Gate Fields will present a 10-race program Saturday and gates will open at 8:30 a.m. for the simulcast of all 12 races from Churchill Downs, where first post is 9:05 a.m.  Post time for the first race at Golden Gate Fields is 10:55 a.m.

     The first Breeders’ Cup race Saturday is the $500,000 Marathon, which will be run at 10:20 a.m.  The Marathon will be followed by the $1 million Juvenile Turf at 11:02 a.m., the $1.5 million Sprint at 11:37 a.m., the $1 million Turf Sprint at 12:21 p.m., the
$1 million Dirt Mile at 1:01 p.m., the $3 million Turf at 1:45 p.m., the $2 million Juvenile at 2:25 p.m., the $2 million Mile at 3:07 p.m., and the $5 million Classic at
4 p.m.
