Control Seeker Scores Another Win On GGF Turf

     Control Seeker recorded his fourth victory on Golden Gate Fields’ Lakeside Turf Course when he out-kicked pacesetter Life Is a Rock to capture the $34,980 allowance feature Sunday.

     Control Seeker, ridden by Kevin Krigger, stalked Life Is a Rock from the start and then surged to the lead in the stretch.  Control Seeker proved best by a length while running a mile in 1:36.79.

     Control Seeker, the 7-to-2 third choice in a field of six, paid $9.40, $4.40 and $4.20.
Life Is a Rock, the 2-to-1 second choice, paid $5.20 and $3.40.  Saratoga Boot, an 11-to-1 outsider who took third by a length over 3-to-2 favorite Winsome Charm, paid $6.80.

     Control Seeker is trained by Keith Nations and owned in partnership by Edward and Theresa DeNike.  A 5-year-old gelding, Control Seeker earned $21,840 Sunday and has made $201,244 while amassing six wins, eight seconds and a third in 27 career starts.

     Racing resumes at Golden Gate Fields Friday.  Post time is 12:45 p.m.
