Carryovers Galore At Golden Gate Fields
The racing week at Golden Gate Fields gets underway Thursday with a seven-race program that is loaded with carryovers in the Pick 5, Super High Five, and Pick 6. Post time is 12:45 p.m.
There is a $19,759 carryover in the Pick 5, a 50-cent bet that requires handicappers to pick the winners of the final five races on the card. The Pick 5 will be held on races three through seven and post time for the third race is 1:45 p.m.
There is a $12,789 carryover in the Super High Five, a $1 wager that challenges players to pick, in exact order, the first five finishers in the fifth race. Post time for the fifth race is 2:45 p.m.
There is a $9,965 carryover in the Pick 6, a $2 bet that asks punters to pick the winners of the final six races on the program. The Pick 6 will be held on races two through seven and post time for the second race is 1:15 p.m.
The following horses are the top choices in the Golden Gate Fields graded handicap: #3 All About Adam (5-1 on the morning line in race one); #2 Clemkadiddlehopper (5-2 in race two), #6 Look Quickly (3-1 in race three), #6 Sparkle Joel (7-2 in race four), #4 Kasune (8-1 in race five), #6 Puppy Manners (5-2 in race six), and #3 Olympio’s Gal (9-2 in race seven).
Seven Entered In $100,000 Pike Place Dancer -- Seven 2-year-old fillies are signed up for the $100,000 Pike Place Dancer Stakes, which will be run Saturday at Golden Gate Fields. The lineup includes Pleasant Miss, who finished in the money in three stakes in Southern California during the summer.
The Pike Place Dancer, one mile turf contest, was carded as the fourth race and will be run at approximately 2:15 p.m. The field, in post position order, is as follows: Miss Machiavelli, Dennis Carr will ride; Stunning Drama, Isaias Enriquez; French Tart, Leslie Mawing; Pleasant Miss, Juan Hernandez; Time and Tides, Russell Baze; Purims Faith, Alejandro Gomez; and Alasharchy, Frank Alvarado.
All of the fillies will carry 120 pounds with the exception of French Tart, who will tote 117.
