California Sire Globalize Drawing Attention At Golden Gate Fields

The California sire Globalize has been well represented at Golden Gate Fields this week.

Life Is a Rock, a 3-year-old colt by Globalize, won the last race on Monday’s Memorial Day racing program at Golden Gate Fields.  Life Is a Rock, trained by Jerry Hollendorfer, paid $9.20.

Golden Gate Fields was closed Tuesday and Wednesday but racing resumed at the track Thursday.  The winner of Thursday’s first race was Camila Cabaletta, a 4-year-old filly by Globalize.  Reina Gonzalez trains Camila Cabaletta, who paid $4.60.

Globalize’s only other representative on Thursday’s card was the 4-year-old gelding Global Glow, who scored a 12-to-1 upset in the fifth race.  Trained by his breeder, Ellen Jackson, Global Glow paid $26.60.

Globalize stands at Jackson’s ranch, Victory Rose Thoroughbreds, in Vacaville. Globalize’s stud fee is a modest $3,500.

Racing continues at Golden Gate Fields Friday and post time is 12:45 p.m.  Unfortunately, no sons or daughters of Globalize are scheduled to run.

Friday’s card features a Pick Six carryover of $42,178.  The Pick Six, which challenges handicappers to correctly select the winners of six consecutive races, will be held on races three through eight.
