Betting On The Belmont Stakes Begins Friday At Golden Gate Fields

     Belmont Stakes betting begins Friday at Golden Gate Fields when the track offers advance wagering on the final leg of thoroughbred racing’s Triple Crown.

     I’ll Have Another, winner of the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, will try to become only the 12th Triple Crown champion in thoroughbred racing history Saturday when he faces 11 rivals in the 1 1/2-mile endurance test at Belmont Park in Elmont, NY.  Post time for the Belmont Stakes is 3:40 p.m.

     The following wagers can be made Friday on the Belmont Stakes: win, place, show, exacta, trifecta, and superfecta.  

     Golden Gate Fields will also offer bettors the opportunity to play the Brooklyn-Belmont Double.  The $2 bet challenges fans to pick the winners of Friday’s Brooklyn Handicap and Saturday’s Belmont Stakes.  Post time for the Brooklyn Handicap, the
10th race at Belmont Friday, is 2:44 p.m.

     Gates at Golden Gate Fields open at 10 a.m. Friday and advance wagering on the Belmont Stakes will be offered all day and night – during the track’s morning simulcast program, during the track’s live eight-race card (post time is 3:15 p.m.), and during the nighttime simulcast program.
