Baze Returns From Suspension With Vengeance – Wins Four Races

Hall of Fame jockey Russell Baze, riding for first time following a five-day suspension, won four races Friday at Golden Gate Fields.

Baze scored with his first mount back, Song of the Times ($5.20), who won the first race by three-quarters of a length.  Baze later won the fourth race with Lota Spunk ($3.80), the sixth with Dancer Humor ($8.40), and the seventh with Dancing Yodeler ($4.20).

Golden Gate Fields is opening all gates at 9 a.m. Saturday to facilitate the simulcast of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships from Santa Anita.  Racing at Santa Anita begins at 10:15 a.m. and post time for the first Breeders’ Cup race, the $2 million Juvenile Fillies, is 12:05 p.m.

Golden Gate Fields will present a 10-race program and post time for the first local heat is 11:40 a.m.  Fans attending the track will receive a cash voucher, meaning their first bet is on the house.
