Baze, Hernandez Record Sunday Triples; Presidents’ Day Racing Monday At GGF

     Golden Gate Fields celebrated the Chinese New Year with a nine-race card Sunday and the chief revelers among the crowd of 6,834 were jockeys Russell Baze and Juan Hernandez, who each rode three winners.

     Baze, who won four races Saturday, scored Sunday with big-time hunch play Sammy Choi ($3.20) in the third race, Knockout Artist ($6.20) in the fourth and Ironmann ($3.80) in the ninth.

      Baze sits atop the Golden Gate Fields jockey standings with 46 victories.
 
      Hernandez won the second race with Blazing Reward ($8.60), the sixth with We Got You Babe ($9.60), and the eighth with Ain’t No Other ($22.40).  The riding triple vaulted Hernandez into the sixth place in the jockey standings with 24 victories.

      Golden Gate Fields will present a special Presidents’ Day racing program Monday.  Baze has six mounts on the nine-race card and Hernandez has two.  Post time is
