Baze Follows Up Four-Win Wednesday With a Three-Victory Thursday at GGF

Leading jockey Russell Baze, who opened the racing week by riding four winners Wednesday at Golden Gate Fields, came right back with three more victories Thursday at the East Bay racetrack.

Baze’s four-win Wednesday included a sweep of the first three races.  Baze duplicated the feat of riding back-to-back-to-back winners Thursday when he won the fifth race with Western Roses ($9.00), the sixth with Victoriously ($5.80) and the seventh with Mr. Candy Bar ($5.60).

Baze has ridden 38 winners through the first 22 days of the 2010 fall meeting, which runs through Dec. 19.  Baze is scheduled to ride six horses Friday when racing resumes at 12:45 p.m.

Golden Gate Fields will host a canned food drive Saturday.  Fans will receive a free club house pass for each canned food item donated, with a limit of 10 club houses passes per person.

Sunday is “Dollar NFL Sunday” at Golden Gate Fields with the track offering $1 general parking, $1 general admission, $1 hot dogs, $1 beers, $1 sodas and the broadcast of all the football action via its subscription to the NFL Sunday ticket.  Post time Saturday and Sunday is 12:45 p.m.
