All Gates at GGF Open At 8:30 A.M. Saturday for Breeders’ Cup Simulcast

     All gates at Golden Gate Fields open at 8:30 a.m. Saturday for the simulcast of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships from Churchill Downs.   Post time for the first race at Churchill is 9:05 a.m. and post time for the first Breeders’ Cup event, the Juvenile Turf, is 10:50 a.m.

    Golden Gate Fields will present nine races Saturday and post time for the first local contest is 12:05 p.m.  The $50,000 Golden Gate Debutante, a six-furlong sprint for
2-year-old fillies, is the feature event on the program and is carded as the second race.

     The schedule for the Breeders’ Cup races is as follows: $1 million Juvenile Turf, 10:50 a.m.; $2 million Sprint, 11:30 a.m.; $1 million Turf Sprint, 12:15 p.m.; $2 million Juvenile, 12:55 p.m.; $2 million Mile, 1:40 p.m.; $1 million Dirt Mile, 2:20 p.m.;
$3 million Turf, 3 p.m.; and $5 million Classic, 3:45 p.m.
