BIG SATURDAY AT GGF
Veteran trainer Art Sherman enjoyed a big Saturday afternoon, winning three races at Golden Gate Fields and one at Hollywood Park.
Sherman took the first race at both tracks, winning at Hollywood Park with Bettersweetmoment ($5.00) and –15 minutes later – at Golden Gate Fields with Cinematic ($5.80).
Sherman sent out Bama Baby ($7.60) to a wire-to-wire victory in the fourth race at Golden Gate Fields, and Another House ($4.20) to a front-running triumph in the eighth race.
Sherman ranks second in the Golden Gate Fields trainer standings with 37 wins through 44 days of racing at the 46-day fall season, which will conclude Monday.
Perennial champ Jerry Hollendorfer tops the trainer standings with 54 victories.
