SEAM SEEKER LEADS ALL THE WAY IN
SPRINT FEATURE AT GOLDEN GATE FIELDS
Seam Seeker, who finished a troubled second in the Piedmont Stakes on Nov. 13, made sure she didn’t encounter any traffic problems in Thursday’s $32,000 sprint feature at Golden Gate Fields.
Seam Seeker went straight to the lead in the six-furlong contest for 2-year-old fillies and never looked back, winning by 1 1/4 lengths over Insurmountable in 1:08.94.
Seam Seeker rallied from off the pace in the Piedmont and had to wait for racing room coming into the stretch. Considering she lost by only a head, the traffic troubles likely cost her the race.
A very consistent California-bred filly by Bertrando, Seam Seeker has two wins, a second and a third in four career starts. Seam Seeker is trained by Ed Moger, Jr. and has been ridden in all of her races by Joey Castro.
Seam Seeker, owned by E and J Racing Stable, earned $22,880 Thursday and has made $62,985 in her four starts.
Racing continues at Golden Gate Fields Friday. Post time is 12:45 p.m.
