CROSSING BORDERS TRIUMPHS
IN SPRINT FEATURE AT GGF
Crossing Borders took the lead from Napa Native at the top of the stretch and went on to a four-length victory in the $32,580 sprint feature at Golden Gate Fields Wednesday.
Receiving a strong ride from jockey Macario Rodriguez, Crossing Borders rallied from fourth in a field of 10 to earn his third victory in nine career starts. Zulu Dancer placed second and Playin the Niners finished third, a half-length in front of Napa Native.
Crossing Borders was timed in 1:09.14 and paid $13.80. Trained by Lloyd Mason and owned by Edward and Theresa DeNike, Crossing Borders earned $15,400. Mason claimed Crossing Borders for $12,500 on Oct. 23.
