ALVARADO CAPS FOUR-WIN AFTERNOON WITH UPSET VICTORY ON GGF TURF
Jockey Frank Alvarado capped a four-win afternoon at Golden Gate Fields by guiding 13-to-1 longshot Jules J to a runaway victory in the $29,000 allowance feature.

Jules J took command from wandering pacesetter Take a Peak approaching the stretch and rambled home to win the one-mile turf contest for 2-year-old fillies by 15 lengths in
1:38.62.  Take a Peak took second by four lengths over Meetyouatgrouion’s, the 8-to-5 favorite.

Jules J, trained by William E. Morey, paid $29.60 to win after collecting her third win in six career starts.

Earlier in the card, Alvarado posted back-to-back-to-back victories.  Alvarado won the third race with Haimish Hy ($5.20), the fourth with Griffinstown ($6.80), and the fifth with Cahill Country ($11.80).

‘GHOSTLY GATE FIELDS’  --  Golden Gate Fields will become “Ghostly Gate Fields” Saturday when it hosts a Halloween Party for families that will feature a haunted house, a pumpkin patch (take home a free pumpkin), pumpkin decorating, bounce houses, pony rides, a petting zoo and face painters.

The activities will take place from noon to 4 p.m. and kids will receive a free goodie bag filled with candy, pencils, and Halloween toys.  Children are admitted free to the track and all of the Halloween activities are free.
